Private Girls Basketball Rankings: LHN Heats Up For Another Title Run

The regular season wraps up on Friday, so it’s time for another edition of the private school girls basketball rankings. Check out the latest Top 10 and honorable mentions for playoff qualifiers to watch!

Lutheran North is all about the bling.

 

1. St. Agnes (28-7): The Tigers completed a perfect district slate with wins against St. Pius X, Monsignor Kelly and St. John XXIII. (Previous: 1)

2. Kinkaid (23-3): The Falcons clinched the top seed from SPC’s South Zone, after wins against Episcopal and John Cooper. (Previous: 2)

3. Concordia Lutheran (26-7): The Crusaders were off for eight days, but still ended the season with a critical victory against The Village School. (Previous: 3)

4. Houston Christian (25-7): The Mustangs ran by John Cooper and CSHA, but need a Friday win to take SPC South’s second seed in next week’s postseason tournament. (Previous: 4)

5. The Woodlands Christian Academy (19-6): The Warriors have won seven of eight heading into their district finale. (Previous: 6)

6. Beaumont Legacy Christian (22-8): The Warriors have breezed by district opponents so far. (Previous: 7)

7. Lutheran High North (16-8): The Lions’ 4-0 week earned them the TAPPS 5-4A title. (Previous: 9)

8. Second Baptist (22-12): The Eagles earned the 7-5A title with wins against Faith West, Fort Bend Christian and Westbury Christian. (Previous: 8)

9. Legacy Preparatory Christian (21-5): The Lions are on track to share the TAPPS 6-2A title, after earning an important win against Bryan St. Joseph, and cruising by Conroe Covenant. (Previous: 10)

10. The Village School (25-9): The Vikings had a brutal end to district play, winning one of four against St. Agnes, Concordia Lutheran, Incarnate Word and Duchesne, but are still headed to the playoffs. (Previous: 5)

 

Honorable mentions: Southwest Christian (14-2), Bryan St. Joseph (17-12), Duchesne (15-12), Incarnate Word (18-8), St. John’s (12-9)
