It’s been a big week for Northwest Houston basketball. First, it was Tuesday’s girls battle between Cypress Ranch and Jersey Village. Friday has another 1 vs. 3 matchup, this time between the Cypress Falls and Cypress Creek boys. Check out the area’s latest rankings going into the critical matchup!

1. Cypress Falls (19-3): The Eagles share the 17-6A lead with Cy Creek and Cy Lakes, after wins against Cy Woods and Cy-Fair last week. (Previous: 1)

2. Concordia Lutheran (30-1): Don’t blink because the Crusaders are riding a 10-game win streak. (Previous: 2)

3. Cypress Creek (16-6): The Cougars beat quality opponents in No. 6 Springs and No. 7 Ridge last week, so they’re ready for Friday’s road test at Falls. (Previous: 3)

4. Cypress Lakes (13-8): The Spartans stayed undefeated in district play, with wins against Langham Creek and Jersey Village last week. (Previous: 5)

5. Cypress Ranch (12-7): The Mustangs bounced back from its district-opening loss a few weeks back, with wins against Langham and Jersey. (Previous: 6)

6. Cypress Springs (14-8): The Panthers nearly knocked off Creek in Friday’s overtime thriller, and took another step back with Tuesday’s defeat against Woods. (Previous: 4)

7. Cypress Ridge (9-12): The Rams didn’t upset Creek, but took care of business against Fair. (Previous: 8)

8. Tomball Memorial (9-14): The Wildcats beat Waller like they were supposed to, but struggled with Magnolia. (Previous: 9)

9. Tomball (7-16): The Cougars nearly knocked off 20-5A’s top two teams, including the buzzer-beating loss against Huntsville. (Previous: 7)

10. Oaks Adventist (3-3): The Tigers took care of business against Lifestyle Christian, but couldn’t force Calvary Baptist’s first loss in TAPPS 9-1A. (Previous: 10)
